Evening Walk

It was still a balmy 80 degrees after 9 PM, they lock the front doors at 11 PM, so we decided to go for a long walk. To the east of the Carlisle is Der Dutchman restaurant. To the west is Coblentz Chocolate Factory. Across the street is The Carlisle Gift Shoppe and Art Gallery and P. Graham Dunn wood engraving. It was a serene night that we hoped would never end. We walked up walnut street turned at the book binders shop and down CR145 to Mud Valley toward the covered bridge.
We were the only people out at that time of night, it was so quiet, only the sound of a buggy now and then down in Mud Valley along the shoulder 39. Route 39 is the main road running from Sugar Creek in the east, through Walnut Creek, and west to Berlin and Millersburg.
